“One of my favorite moments was Scarlett, Gunnar and Avery hitting the stage together. It was supposed to be Zoey up there with the guys, but we all know it didn’t work out that way. Zoey ended up leaving and Scarlett stepped in.

As they headed up onto the stage, there was a short moment where she saw the audience and realized just what she was doing. Her eyes grew, the fear etched on her features. Avery recognized the signs and asked once again if she was alright. She pushed through, even if she looked ready to bolt at any second. The song started and their voices sounded strong right away. But she was still fighting her fears. It seemed as if both her friends and ex-boyfriends knew as they both leaned down to her microphone to sing as a team. Her surprise was evident, but the result was incredible. Their support and protective manner of being so close to her made her come alive. Her face lit up and she danced, their voices sounding even better than they did before.

The reason I loved this so much was because I could feel the energy vibrating from not just the actors in the scene as musical artists they portray, but the true performers that Clare, Jonathan and Sam are. This is what I love about music and live performances specifically, its moments like these, when you feel the joy of the artists, the love they have for performing and this is how they take in the audience and wrap them around their fingers. It was real and these three performers truly had fun up there.

I will absolutely miss Zoey, but the energy in that performance is one I hope we see much more often and I hope Scarlett does not lose that sparkle and joy again. Her jumping around and dancing to the song and smiling with her friends was infectious and made me remember just why I love music and this TV show so much”.

  1. Agree!!! It was so great see them up on stage, together. And now Scarlett not alone, but part of a team. Suits her perfectly. They have come such a long way since the show started. This would never have happened then, but now it just made so much sense. Loved it! And so happy for Scarlett that dared to take that step.
