“Little did I know 3 years ago, when I was zapping on my TV and found a gorgeous redhair & a hot dark haired man with an awesooome scrub in an elevator, sharing one of the most epic kisses I’ve ever seen, the impact that TV show called Nashville would have in my life. If there’s a word to summarize it, that is MAGIC It introduced me, an Argentine girl born in the Southern Pampas of Messi, to the MAGIC Kingdom of Country Music in the MAGIC Music City of Nashville, through the MAGIC story of Rayna James and Deacon Claybourne, And through it to a MAGICAL cast & crew, all sorrounded by the MOST MAGICAL MUSIC! And last, but not least, it introduced me to the most MAGICAL group of fans in the world: the #NASHIES. So I share a toast for Nashville ABC and this absolutely well deserved CMT Award. If a show & cast has ever made an INTERNATIONAL IMPACT, this is Nashville ABC. We, International Nashies are the living proof of it. Long Live Nashville ABC! Love, Caro, Argentina

“I decided to watch Nashville, because I needed something that could cheer me up, and I thought Nashville was the perfect choice, it had music on it (I actually thought that the series would be a lot like Glee because of the songs) and it had Connie Britton on it, basically it had everything, so if that couldn’t cheer me up nothing would. The day I started Nashville was the 26th of March I can’t express how much this show has changed my life. I literally watched 14 episodes the first day. FOURTEEN! The moment when I knew that this show was going to be really special (like no show had ever been) to me was when Juliette sang with Deacon Undermine. I don’t have a really good relationship with my mum, and that song summarized our relationship in a way nothing has ever done before. AND ALSO RAYNA AND DEACON MY GOD THOSE TWO. (I think I shipped them since the bridge scene) THEY MAKE MY HEART HURT. The first day watching Nashville ended up with me crying myself to sleep while I was listening to Rayna Jaymes’ Stronger than me’, really that a song summarized my situation perfectly. I felt so vulnerable and alone, that song was my friend for that night… Nashville has really changed my life for the better, with their stories and most of it all with the music; every song has a really special meaning for me. It has helped me through everything, Really, it made me feel a little less alone, there are no words to express how grateful I am for this show.” Rue, Spain

I went to the Grand Ole’ Opry finally! I was motivated. I like the country music they create for the show it has its hints of bluegrass and pop and is flavored across musical genres and there is much talent. It addresses blended families, single dads(for a change) is not graphic with sex scenes at all, no gratuitous violence…..LOVE IT” Dena, Ohio

Thank you from Sharon (Farmington, CT) and Congratulations to Callie Khouri and the entire Nashville cast. IMO this is the best show on TV. The original music is amazing and beautifully integrated with the plot. I live across the pond in England and Nashville is absolutely my favourite show on TV. Apart from the great characters and actors that bring them to life, Nashville has opened up my ears to country music. I never had an interest before and now I absolutely love it. I’ve been to some great country shows (with more on the way) and found that I now have something in common with certain people in my life that I didn’t before and have made some new friends too. It just goes to show the impact that a TV show can have on someone’s life and the people they meet. I can’t wait to visit the city someday and experience it first hand. What an achievement this show is. Keep it comin’! Hayley, UK

“I’m a lonely California girl, who Loves Loves country music and I’m always feeling like an outcast cause of my choice of music, so much that I started turning to a different genre of music to fit in. I mean I would listen to country music here and there but it was not my number one choice for music anymore. My aunt told me that I needed to watch Nashville, I kept telling no, no thank you. 1 I have to many shows that I’m already trying to keep up with, I certainly can’t add another to the list. And besides its a country Drama and I’m turning from country music, why she ask? Cause I’m looked at funny cause of the choice of music I like. Well then all the more you need to watch Nashville! Well, I told her maybe, she kept on I finally gave and in and watched one episode and I was instantly HOOKED! Thank you Callie Khouri Dee Johnson, ALL the writers, ALL the staff and most certainly the Cast with Nashville I found my love for country music again!” Kaneisha, Lancaster, California

“I’d like to congratulate the entire cast of Nashville for being presented with the International Impact Award. This cast has and continues to amaze me as I admire their talents. The show moves me as they deliver emotional performances every Wednesday night. I’ve fallen in love with the music and the characters. I love that it is filmed in Nashville because it makes it so much more authentic and unique from other shows. The writers, creator, director/s, and entire crew deserve the recognition for their creativity and hard work as well to satisfy their large, dedicated fanbase that has spread all over the world, bringing people together to talk about a show we are so passionate about. Many of us have become friends. I honestly can’t say there’s been another show that I’ve felt so strongly about. It has it all; great music, humor, emotion, drama, and quality characters. I will forever be a Nashville fan!” Holly, Michigan

But the show wouldn’t happen without the writers and crew members. Thanks to everyone for a job well done. – Ruth from Chippewa Falls, WI

Congratulations to all of you from your biggest fan in Canada! I have been watching since day 1. I never really listened to country music until I started watching Nashville. You have opened my eyes to such wonderful music. Now I listen to your songs every day! Yes, you too Connie (my fav) – you have such a beautiful voice, please go on the next tour! You are all also such amazing actors and bring so much raw emotions to your roles. Every week, your performances blow me away. “I’m from New Zealand and Nashville and the cast really helped me to start writing songs again and delving into my music. It made me see wider than my own little atmosphere and dream bigger than I had before. Now a little old kiwi from down under has big dreams to move to Nashville – maybe not to be a musician, but to live there and work there and be immersed in music and culture! The actors sharing their gifts inspire me all the time and make me want to be the best at everything I do! They are ALL amazing!” Kiralee, New Zealand

On a personal note: I wrote a post couple of days ago on Callie Kouri’s birthday but it applies to the entire show so I’ll repost it here: The reason I gave Nashville a chance in the first place was because I found out Callie Khouri was the creator. Few years in, after temporary relocating to Nashville, Tennessee I know this supposedly insignificant choice to start watching a new TV show about a city I knew very little about before, was probably one of the best I ever made and I would like to say THANK YOU! Thank you for creating a world where people like me are being represented. No, I’m not a musician, not a country music expert, not a Southern and not even an American, but watching it from the other side of the world; I felt, for the first time, pieces of myself – As an artist, a full-realized woman and an adventure. TV is full with so-called regular people like you and me – Doctors, lawyers, LOTS of cops, couple of politicians, journalists and educators. It’s also full with superheroes and serial killers or just crazy people. But what about the rest of us? The people who don’t walk the line but are still human? If we’re represented we’re usually completely crazy/very eccentric/part of a fantasy world as if being an artist or with an artistic soul is not valid and something that sentences you to a very lonely and miserable life or just life at the fringes of society. Nashville changed that! It put a focus on artists and artistic people and made them regular people -so simple and yet, so revolutionary. Their complexity is very human and relatable and the best part? The most complicated ones are women. They are so different from one another but they all have a clear voice and room to grow. That’s what I needed: Not a guidebook on how to become an artist or a woman but a space to be that and feel whatever I choose it’s OK because the only opinion that matters is my own. For so many viewers around the world (and especially women) Nashville made it easier to dream and inspired them to become the best authentic version of themselves. For that, I and others are forever in your debt. #nashvilleforever
